Perfect christmas trees???

No it's not over, at least not yet.... remember there's the 12 days of Christmas. This year we had a "REAL " tree!!! It's worth every penny I spent, it gives off a nice scent. And we hung very small ornaments instead of the usual big loud ones!!! Dont want to put too much weight on the real tree!I promise myself, from now on, I'm going to get a real tree every year.

So you can imagine my excitement when I heard of Christmas tree cloning!!!! Yes... it's going to happen!!!

After years of studying the reproduction mechanism of the Caucasian fir, Germany’s most common Christmas tree variety, scientists at Berlin’s Humboldt University say they have been able to reproduce Christmas trees by cloning their seeds. Their Frankentrees, they say, will grow to be perfectly shaped, resistant to greenflies and other insects and perfectly colored — and they won’t lose needles.

Professor Kurt Zoglauer, who has been leading the research project, is quick to point out that perfection doesn’t mean that the trees will be identical. “We have developed trees with a variety of characteristics, making them all beautiful in their own way,” the botanist said in a university press release. ”Single households prefer smaller trees that fit into smaller apartments.”
The breakthrough could be a boon for the Christmas tree industry!!!

Christmas Movies

Just saw, Love Actually.

The film is, a collection of anaemic tales taking place in the lead-up to December 25, with Emma Thompson, Colin Firth, Alan Rickman and, others.
There is the story that revolves around Hugh Grant as the British prime minister and his romantic involvement with the office tea lady.
Then there's one with  Liam Neeson's highs and lows as a widower and stepfather to a young boy, who is, not only 'in love' with another minor but is, we are plainly supposed to believe, mature beyond his years.
Remember " The Holiday", in which Iris (Kate Winslet) and Amanda (Cameron Diaz) swap abodes, with Iris going to LA and Amanda heading off to England. With a running time of two-and-one-quarter hours, the film is much too long, and they most certainly should have got rid of an incredibly boring storyline about Iris becoming friends with an ancient screenwriter who tells anecdotes in which he incessantly namedrops identities from the golden years of Hollywood while she has to attempt to look enchanted.
However, aside from the novelty of hearing Winslet speaking in her own accent, there is enjoyment to be had simply from the dwellings that are featured. Amanda has a house that is approximately the size of the Hearst Castle; and Iris, for some reason, mirth-inducingly lives in an Olde Tyme Englishe Cottage in a charming village, without a council flat, dreary motorway and/or Little Chef in sight.
What's really good is "Bad Santa", with Billy Bob Thornton as Willie T Stokes. This man is a reprobate who scrapes out a living by being hired to wear the red suit and managing every Christmas Eve to rob the mall at which he works. He also forms a friendship, of sorts, with a boy he refers to as The Kid.
My boss loves "A Very Brady Christmas", me not so....lol.... too chessy!!!
